In 1968 a Soviet sub, K129 sunk in the North Pacific; two months later the USS Scorpion sunk in the Atlantic.A dozen books, the "Project Azorian" PBS documentary, and other resources have provided a look at what might have happened. The CIA officer in charge of the Glomar Explorer that retrieved part of the K129 from 16000 Ft. down says he "doesn't know what sunk the K129 ... but if he did he probably wouldn't tell" ... both the Russian Government and US Government are keeping the lid on relevant information. What we do know is we have lies, spies and sunken subs. Join with some of the folks who lived with the cold war, and get a sense for a different world.
(Insight on how Sanders Associates helped avoid nuclear holocaust in 1962 also will be included)
No fee, public welcome (must register),
Subs (of course) and sodas will be provided
